Hardness
Hardness is first directly related to the chemical composition of the aluminum alloy profile. Second, different states also have a greater impact.7000 series, 2000 series, 4000series, 5000 series, 3000 series, 1000 series, down in turn.
Strength
Pure aluminum alloy profile has the lowest strength, while 2000 series and 7000 series heat-treated alloys have the highest strength.Hardness and strength have a certain positive relationship.
Corrosion resistance
In general, 1000 series pure aluminum alloy profile has the best corrosion resistance, 5 series performs well, followed by non-curved and 6000 series, 2000 series and 7000 series teaching poor. The principle of corrosion resistance selection should be based on the place of use.High-strength alloys are used in corrosive environments and must use a variety of corrosion-resistant compositematerials.
Processing performance
Processing performance includes forming performance and cutting performance. Because the forming is related to the state, after selecting the aluminum alloy grade, the strength range of various states should also be considered, usually high strength of the material is not easy to form.
If aluminum alloy profile is to be bent, stretched, deep-punched and other forming processing, the formability of the completely annealing state material is the best, on the contrary, the thermal treatment state material has the worst formability.
The cutting performance of aluminum alloy profile has a great relationship with the alloy composition, usually the higher strength of aluminum alloy profile cutting is better, on the contrary, the low strength of the cutting is poor.
For molds, write parts and other products that require machining, the cutting of aluminum alloy profile is an important consideration.
Welding performance
Most aluminum alloy profile soldering is free of problems, especially some 5000series aluminum alloy profile, which are designed for welding considerations. 2000 Series and 7000 series aluminum alloys are more difficult to weld.
